We have received a number of topics for discussion for upcoming Sustainability Practice Group meetings. Your thoughts and ideas are always welcome. Please feel free to submit future topics here. Here are just a few we have received from the January & February calls:

• What CSI is doing to discourage corporate greenwash and weed it from their info sources?
• Would like to see a comparison of energy use in production and energy saved of various insulation materials
• LCA
• Green buildings and specifications
• Life cycle assessment versus life cycle costing
• Waste management, project waste monitoring, forms available for waste management
  
• AIR LEAKAGE TESTING AND VERIFICATION
• Natural building
• Specifying for LEED; working with hardware mfrs. for nonproprietary door HW specification
• What changes between LEED NC v. 2.2  and LEED v.3 occurred that directly effect your specs?
• Comparing materials regarding lifetime impacts thru disposal/recycling
• Master spec writing and LEED spec writing
• What is the most important sustainable thing that we should specifiy?
• Need for USGBC to create standard forms for products in MR4.1/4.2 and MR5.1/5.2 spreadsheets
• Global warming
